Volunteer Opportunities
Below is a list of current volunteer opportunities with Cascade AIDS Project. These opportunities are frequently updated as the needs of our programs and events change. Please explore and find a position that interests you and check back often for updates. Any volunteer opportunities not listed below are not currently available.

Clark County Reception Assistant
- Work with CAP Staff, Daniel Schollaert.
- Greet visitors & answer phone at Harm Reduction Center during testing clinic.
- Assess reason for visit.
- Make referrals to CAP & other agencies.
- Familiarity with local resources and gay/bi men’s community.
- 3 hrs, 2 shifts per month, 6-month minimum.
Esther’s Pantry/Tod’s Corner Volunteer Driver
- Work with CAP staff, Shyle Ruder
- Provide client transportation to Esther’s/Tod’s & home afterward
- Help carry goods as necessary
- Driver's license & good record required
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred, not required
- Additional training for this program
- 1 or 2 days per month, 1-year commitment
- Work with CAP Staff, Joseph Sedillo
- Staff Hotline phone and online
- Provide info including risk reduction and assessment, HIV/STI info, testing resources and community referrals.
- Must attend 8-hour training.
- Shifts available:
Tues 12pm - 3pm, Tues 3pm - 6pm, Weds 3pm - 6pm.
- Work with CAP Staff Joseph Sullivan.
- Community prevention outreach in gay bars and bathhouse.
- Outgoing personality and ability to talk openly about sensitive issues.
- Weekend night availability.
- 3 hour shift, twice a month.
Sign Language Interpreter
- Work with CAP staff Amanda Hurley
- Interpret meetings between CAP staff and hearing-impaired clients
- Strong adherence to confidentiality
- Availability as needed, during business hours
